WESTWOOD. Obituary.February 1930. Report in Ripon Gazette.The death has been announced of Mrs. Sarah Westwood. The wife of William Westwood. the sub-postmaster of Grewelthorpe. Mrs Westwood was possessed of a very genial disposition and was highly respected by all with whom she came in contact. Mr & Mrs Westwood had signified their intention of retiring from Post Office duties shortly and they had hoped to enjoy well earned leisure.
A descendant of Sarah [Barbara King] informs us that Sarah left £4,000 in her will. She thinks that Sarah’s Father was a successful businessman.
In 1901 Sarah & William Westwood were living in Bardsey near Wetherby with Williams Mother Elizabeth.

ROBERT WESTWOOD Born 1897. Died 1942. From 1921 census he was recorded as being a blind ex serviceman.
