Mary was born Mary Harland daughter of George & Jane Harland. in Thornton le Moor. Grand-daughter of William & Isabella Harland of Knayton. She had an illegitimate son Thomas Harland born 1863 in Thornton le Moor.
Mary married Enoch George Morley in 1868. he was an agricultural machine maker from Borrowby. He died in 1873 aged 37years. They had a son William Morley born 1870 in Ingleby Arnecliffe.
Mary married ROBERT RITSON in 1878 he was a farmer from Cumberland. They moved to Grewelthorpe and had a son ROBERT RITSON born 1880 and died 1946 in Grewelthorpe. In 1901 Mary was a widow for the second time.
