Description. 5ft 5.5inches. Brown hair. Grey eyes. Almost blind in right eye. Methodist. Ag. Lab. Married with 1 child. Living with Mother in Kirkby Malzeard.
He received 14 days for being idle, disorderly and refusing to work. whereby his family became chargeable
to the township of Grewelthorpe.

MORETON THOMAS Born 1825 Grewelthorpe. Sentenced June 2nd 1843. House of correction.
Description. A whitesmith. 5ft 6inches. Sallow complexion. Hazel eyes. Brown hair. slightly pockmarked with freckles. Living with his Father John Moreton a gas maker in Leeds.
He could read and write imperfectly. Church religion.
He received 1 cal. month or pay 28/- for assaulting John Wardman of Leeds. This was his 3rd conviction.

SMITH CHARLES Born 1871 Grewelthorpe. Description Height 5ft 3.5inches. Brown Hair.
Sentenced to 8 days for theft. and being in debt. Wakefield prison.
