Tree Sparrows

David Watkins of TreeSparrows.com has been in touch to ask Grewelthorpe residents to watch out for and report sightings of Tree Sparrows. David has secured funding for a project to encourage the population of Tree Sparrows in the Claro district to be maintained and in time grow.

The plan includes the erection of over 300 nest boxes in strategic locations in the district. David is very keen to get people involved in reporting sighting so that a clear picture of numbers and distribution can be established. Over the years it will then be possible to evaluate the success of the project.
