20th October | Live Music at the Village Hall. New World String Quartet. The NWE String Quartet has appeared at many major festivals and venues and been described as having “Beautiful tone and infectious charisma” and “Wowed a packed venue with their vibrancy, virtuosity and warm personalities”. Their performance will include Haydn “The Lark” quartet (Haydn at his wittiest and sunniest best), Kirchner “Seven Little Drops” (delightful little Victorian cameos), Webern “Langsamer Satz” (one of the most stunning pieces in the entire repertoire) and Dvorak “The American” quartet (an all-time favourite by the master of melody).
